Fewer than two days to go!

The players and director are working very hard indeed in preparation for Wednesday night’s opening performance at the Henderson Hall, and they look forward to welcoming you to share their enthusiasm for Shakespeare’s work.

How could we, as the Abbots Langley Players not mark the 400th anniversary of the Bard’s death this year? This was the beginning of the thought process that led to the production. It also made me think, that as William Shakespeare wrote for the people, all members who wanted to perform a piece of his work could do so. The result, I believe, is an interesting view on our thoughts of the man. I hope you will find something you know, see/hear something new and learn a new fact about Will. We have not had our usual 12 weeks of planning/rehearsal and I have drawn on new talent to help in this project. I have been overwhelmed by the enthusiasm of the cast and “behind the scenes” people who have made this production something I am very proud of. Enjoy…
